RSD 2013 First Update!

Hello everyone! The graying of my hair and growing fear in my heart can only mean one thing: we are again approaching RECORD STORE DAY ! this is our first update/announcement for RSD which is April 20th 2013. I am sure there will be a few others as we get closer. Contained here will be a list of the RSD titles that we have been able to place orders forup t this point. There is no guarantee of how many (or any) copies we will receive we just order and cross our fingers! If the previous years have been any indication we should get at least  some of most of these titles. Pretty Vague huh? Welcome to my hell. As with every year there will be no holds, no pre-orders and no on-line sales for these. The fun is lining up and hoping for the best! We will have Vegan and Non-vegan treats for the folks that show up and some other surprises as well!  Let's get to some good news shall we? the last few years we have done some Celebrated Summer only exclusives including INTEGRITY, PULLING TEETH, MINDSET and PEACE. THis year we are proud to announce:

CELEBRATED SUMMER RECORDS EXCLUSIVES FOR RSD 2013:

MINDSET-LEAVE NO DOUBT LP (Silk Screened covers Purple vinyl 100 numbered  copies for RSD at Celebrated Summer only) - Even as fans of the previous Mindset releases we were still completely bowled over by the HUGE step up in songwriting and execution for Mindset's first full length LP. We knew we would want to do something special again with Mindset and React! and this is it!

DOUBLE DAGGER-333 LP+DVD SET (Copies at Celebrated Summer/Atomic Books Only will contain an exclusive Fanzine by Nolan and Bruce from Double Dagger stamped and numbered for RSD 2013!) The final testament of Baltimore's Double Dagger! Six previously unreleased songs plus the DVD: If we shout loud enough which is a Documentary of their last tour!  7pm on Record Store Day Atomic Books and Celebrated Summer will have a listening party and Zine reading With Nolan and Bruce!

Liz Prince Signing in Celebrated Summer!

Hey everyone! On June 23rd out friend and sometimes collaborator Liz Prince will be signing copies of her awesome comics and prints inside of Celebrated Summer/Atomic Books! She will have prints of the Insubordination Fest zine cover she is doing plus prints of the Boston Deep Sleep/Adventure Time Poster! Check out her art here!

Hi everyone! So it's been a bit since we have updated so here is the round up of what has been going on!


First off the Baltimore City Paper voted us Best Place to buy Vinyl for the Second year in a row! We are beside ourselves with pride and thank them from the bottom of our Record clogged heart!

secondly we had our 5 year Anniversary show at Ottobar and it was a great time!

Again Emily Devan graced us with a sweet cake, this time a overhead view of the store itself!



All the bands killed it and it was great fun doing a Deep Sleep set upstairs after the show wrapped up, Samiam, Mean Jeans, Shirks, HollyWood, Walter and Murder have my utmost thanks!

What else? For some odd reason we got it into our heads that buying a donut case for the store was a good idea! So for Septembers First Friday we filled it with free donuts and had our first annual Donut Social! We will be filling it with free delicious treats randomly so come in some time and maybe you will get lucky!

We love them! Hopefully more on the way!

What else what else??? Well randomly the vocalist from our favorite band THE DESCENDENTS showed up at a local show and was kind enough to sign a record and take a picture with us! We were pretty geeked out!

RECORD STORE DAY INFORMATION!

Hello Everyone! This Saturday April 16th is Record Store Day! We are really excited to step it up a bit this year with some cool releases!

We will be open at 11am, all releases are one per person and on a first come first serve basis.
We will have Free Donuts and Free Vegan Donuts plus some other surprises for you folks showing up early!

10 percent of ALL of our sales on Record Store Day will be Donated to the RED CROSS for Japan Earthquake relief!

We are located at 3620 Falls Road in Baltimore Maryland, inside of Atomic Books.
